In 2019, the East Greenwich High School Library was awarded a grant from OLIS using funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services to create a media production lab in an existing, unused library office. This workshop will provide an overview of the grant application, the furniture and software purchased, explain how the lab is being used, and describe the challenges and benefits of having the lab.

Participants will leave with a better understanding of what is needed to create student-generated podcasts and how they might incorporate podcasting within their library.

Directions: Enter 300 Avenger Road, East Greenwich on your GPS.
1. Drive down the main road to the school. At the bottom of the hill, turn left and keep left, driving toward “Faculty Parking”.
The Student Parking Lot is to the right, which is fine, but turn left to get closer.
2. Drive past the few visitor and admin staff parking spaces. Keep driving until you get to the back of the school.
There are two mini lots. Turn right into the first parking lot and park toward the middle.
3. There is a little path “through the woods” leading to the school. This will bring you to a set of double doors where you will
enter the building. If the door is locked, please text Sharon and she will meet you. Sharon's cell phone number is part of her email signature.
4. Take a left once in the building. You will come to the end of a hallway and be forced to turn right. Walk straight and the library
is on your right. The entire school is a square if that helps.
